The Major Bantam Girls won the Bronze medal in Division 10 of the U14 Major Bantam Girls Ontario Cup. The girls went 4-1 on the weekend with their best stretch of the season.
Friday night they beat Orillia 45-37. Saturday morning they lost to the eventual Gold medalists, Gloucester 36-26. In the afternoon, they took down Barrie Royals 33-22. On Sunday morning, a victory against rival Kingston Impact, would result in a 3 way tie for first. The Blazers won that game 37-32 to finish tied for first. But the tiebreaker was not in their favour due to the previous scores and the Blazers had to settle for the Bronze medal game.
In the Bronze game, they beat Barrie Royals once again, this time by a score of 30-22 and collect their medal.
Congratulations to Jay Gaudin, Joe Dugdale and Andrea Wright for their coaching.
