Although not as memorable as 2018’s game winning buzzer beater to win the Gold, the 2019 gold medal feels just as good.  The U14 girls coached by Colin Jardine, Kevin Perkins and Dave Kelly went 5-0 en route to the gold medal.

In the 7 team round robin, the girls went 4-0 to tie the Kingston Impact for first place setting up a gold medal rematch from the Chris Paulin AAA finals.  The result was the same as back in December with the Blazers coming out on top 39-31 behind a strong defensive game.  The Blazers came out very strong and quick and built a 17-4 lead at the end of the first quarter.

En route to the gold, the beat ONL U13, Ottawa Shooting Stars Padmore, Massena NY Raiders and Perth Tigers.

Up next for the Blazers is the OBLEast Division 1 championship back in their home St Mary CHS gym.

Pictured above is the Blazers and Impact posing together. The girls have developed a great relationship off the court with the Impact and the smiles show it all.
