Basketball FUNdamentals (Full course)

Cost: $60, Pay at the door cash or cheque. (final cost may be lowered depending on the number participants).
The FUNdamentals program has been developed by Canada Basketball, in conjunction with the Coaching Association of Canada, to deliver an extensive coach education program for the volunteer coach. It provides the mom/dad or entry level coach with the necessary skills, knowledge and materials to deliver a safe, fun and age/stage-appropriate basketball experience for children from six to nine years old. (The facilitator has agreed to augment the focus to benefit newer coaches working with older groups as well.)
In this delivery model, participants attend the full six-hour FUNdamentals course. This features both the three-hour on-court drills and skills session, which teaches coaches how to properly develop basketball fundamentals, as well as the three-hour in-class session, to assist in practice planning, ethical coaching, and how to guide a team through a season.
Note: Participants taking the FUNdamentals course must read and print the Pre-Task worksheets prior to attending the course.

Please come dressed to the clinic in athletic attire. The morning session will be in a classroom but we will be spending the afternoon in the gym, so get ready to be active!

1. Go to www.coach.ca scroll over My Locker in the top right hand corner, then select Profile.
2. Click on “Don’t have an account? Create one now!”
3. Check the box that says “I want to create a full Locker account to have access to the above, plus my coaching records, eLearning opportunities, course calendars, and more”
4. Fill in the required information
5. Then click the Register button. Your CC# will appear immediately on your new profile in the first field. Your CC number will also be emailed to the address you have provided usually within a one business day.
