The Major Atom boys coached by Jason Crotty and Michaela Wall had a near perfect weekend at their 6th Annual Stacey Dales Invitational. The Atom boys went 3-1 on the weekend, improving with each game and coming up just short in the gold medal game to a very strong Nepean Blue Devils team.
The boys beat Ottawa South Bedrock on Friday night in their first “Friday Night Lights” experience. Saturday morning they handled the PBA Titans and then faced Goulbourn in the evening. All three games were strong performances.
In the final, they faced the unbeaten Nepean team and the game was close until the very end. Some strong defense and clutch shooting held them in the game.
Congrats to all the kids that won Hustler of the Game during the tournament, and they all should be proud of their efforts.
