Coach Andrea and the Atom girls added more hardware to their season long collection of medals. The girls came home from Newmarket with Silver medals after a very close final game on Sunday. They put on a great show for the fans and parents in the stands all weekend.
Friday night they took down Blessed Sacrament 30 -19. On Saturday morning, their hopes seemed to be dashed following a 36-31 loss to St Thomas. They went into their final game against Belleville and easily beat them 37-21. They needed a miracle and one was provided by Blessed Sacrament as they took down St Thomas, creating a tie with Belleville, but Brockville owning the head to head. That put Blazers in the Gold Medal Game against a 3-0 Orillia team.
In the finals, the Blazers held the lead for most of the game but Orillia put on a big last push and took the game 42-37. The Blazers earned their silver medal and came home 2nd in Division 6 of OBA.
