The grade 11/12 Blazer summer team went a perfect 4-0 this weekend at Jefferson Community College and won the Thousand Islands HoopFest, beating a very tough team from Gatineau in the final by a score of 42 -30. Once again the boy’s moved the ball extremely well and played tremendous half court defence.
The men went 2-0 on the first day of Thousand Islands tournament in Watertown.
Won first game over Lowville in a game that was tied 8 times.Tyler Bark led all scorers with 20 and 10 rebounds. Clutch free throw shooting and rebounding sealed the victory over a highschool team that has played together for many years. Final score 52-43
Second game was a blowout against a team from Syracuse, 56-37. Geoff Lavoie led all scorers with 24.
The next three weeks will see the team competing at two tournaments in Montreal and the CNIT( North Pole Hoops) in Burlington.
