From 0-12 last season to 14-9 and the 2019 EOBA Silver medalist. The U10 girls, behind coaching from Dennis Dickson, Tyler Andress and Ryan McFadden, saved their best game of the season for their last game.
The girls played a great year ending tournament, finishing second in their pool. In the semi finals, they faced the Ottawa South Bedrock, who have beaten the Blazers all season. This time though, the Blazers came through and upset the league’s #2 squad. That set them up with a game vs Nepean who have been the league’s top team all season. Being happy to make the game wasn’t going to satisfy these girls. They fought and in the end, lost but by a mere 3 points, 24-21.
Huge for these girls who are a mix of grade 3’s and 4’s compared to Nepean’s all grade 4 team.
