U16 Girls Perkins claim the AAA/AA Gold Medal at Chris Paulin Tournament

The AAA/AA division was only four teams this year but those 4 were very competitive and provided for a great weekend of basketball.

In their opening game, the Blazers faced the Gatineau Phoenix.  The Blazers took the game 49-37.  In their second game of the day, the Blazers faced the host Ottawa Next Level U16 team.  This game was close with the Blazers winning 37-31.

This set up a battle between rival Arnprior Valley Pride.  The Valley Pride team came out shooting very well and took the game 66-46.

On Sunday, the Blazers had a rematch with the 3 seed ONL and the result was the same as they took down the home team 58-54 in a tight contest.

The finals for the gold medal was a rematch from Saturday night.  The Valley Pride team came in at 3-0 and were looking to match their victory from Saturday.  But Brockville wasn’t having any of that.  The Blazers were led by Chloe Lapointe who had a career game with 25 points and hit a dagger 3pter to put the game away in the 4th quarter.  The final was 59-45 Blazers, claiming another Chris Paulin Tournament championship.  Chloe was named Finals MVP.

Congrats to the girls team:
